Susanne Oliver - Hat designer

Susanne Oliver graduated in textile design at the Galway Mayo Institute of Technology and later became a student of Couture Milliner Linda Mckay where she was trained as a professional hat designer. During this time she developed a unique understanding and appreciation for the use of materials, colour and fabrics, as well as the practical skills of stitching and finishing.

Susanne was invited to intern with world famous Milliner 'Philip Treacy' at his studio in London where she worked on the hugely successful 2010 collection, this included the wonderfully unique ‘masked creations’ designed exclusively for the 'Eyes Wide Shut’ Vogue anniversary ball in Paris. In September 2011 Susanne was the only Irish hat designer shortlisted and commended by Stephen Jones & Vogue in his Talenthouse Competition.

A Galway based hat designer she specialises in original bridal headpieces and mother of the Bride/Groom hat designs. Susanne also creates Ladies Couture hats for every occasion.
